Yoga - all levels

 

This class is open to all students.  Postures will be offered in standing, sitting, and in lying down positions.  Modifications will be explored for student’s range of ability. Some previous yoga experience recommended, but not required.

Monday (*Flow class)  6:30 – 7:45p

Alignment - level I

 

This is a foundational level yoga class that is appropriate for beginners who want to learn the foundations of common yoga postures. This class will teach postures in standing, lying, and sitting positions with time taken out for description of alignment and form. Introductory breath work with be incorporated into each class. This is a light and fun class, and all levels of yoga experience are welcome!

Alignment Level II

 

These yoga classes are appropriate for students who want to practice yoga above a foundational level, and are looking for a challenge. In each class we will teach postures in standing, lying, and sitting positions. Time is taken out for description of alignment and form. Yoga props are encouraged and used throughout class to ensure safety & correct alignment of postures.

We want all our class options to be light and fun classes, and all levels of yoga experience are welcome!

Chair Yoga

 

Chair yoga is a very gentle form of yoga.  We will use a chair to aid in the ability to get into the physical postures.  Yoga postures will be offered in seated and standing positions only.  All levels welcome.  Great for those who have a difficult time getting on the floor, and those who are recovering from injury and need a gentle way to stretch & move their body.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is an excellent way to destress your mind and relax your body. Each class incorporates passive, gentle postures using bolsters, blankets, and other yoga props to ensure total comfort. This type of yoga can help bring some balance to your hectic life, and can help ease discomfort due to chronic pain conditions. This is appropriate for all levels of yoga students. Come ready to relax!

Mindful Practice

Try this therapeutic yoga class for deep renewal, fresh perspective, and healing from the inside out. Gentle yoga, meditation, breath work, and tools for living will be integrated into each class to help realign the body & mind creating more vitality, decreasing anxiety, and improving overall health.

Vinyasa

 

Vinyasa means movement with the breath.  Be prepared to move through most of this 75 minute class.  Vinyasa is a great practice to help the student focus on breath control, and develop a deeper connection between one’s breath patterns as they are associated with physical movement.

Open Yoga

 

This class presents a great opportunity to openly practice with your yoga instructor.  To ask questions, explore modifications, and learn how to apply your breath & physical body correctly during your yoga practice.  Come in with your own sequence, or allow Elise to give you something to work on.  All levels are welcome!

Yoga for Stretching

 

 

This unique class will combine aspects of yin, restorative, and hatha style yoga into one practice.  Postures will be held for 2-5 breaths to allow the students to deepen into the poses, and aspects of meditation and breath work will be integrated into each class.

Candle light Yoga

 

 

This relaxing class will offer breath work, movement, and moments of stillness for a beautifully, well-rounded class.  Candles will provide all the light we need! Enjoy!

Yin Yoga

 

 

Each class will focus on finding relief in the neck & low back regions through yin yoga instruction.  We will move gently through both passive postures to improve common areas of tightness and weakness associated with neck & back pain.  Yin yoga involves longer held postures (up to 5 minutes) to slowly release tension in deeper soft tissue structures.  This is a great class for runners, cross-fitters,, as well as, individuals who have jobs involving prolonged sitting or standing!  After a yin class you may feel a sense of deep seated release and decreased stress throughout the body.

Yoga for Women

This class will be designed specifically for women’s health. In this gentle practice we will incorporate components of flexibility & strength building while helping to practice how to balance the effects that lifestyle & hormonal changes may have on the emotional, mental, and physical body. We want to create a space that will bring women together in a positive and healthy way through yoga.

Morning Yoga - all levels

Join Becca on Friday mornings for an all levels yoga class.  In this hour class you will move through a variety of yoga postures in standing, sitting, and in lying positions.  With a mixture of hatha & flow-style yoga this class will help you wake up your body and get going for the day and weekend ahead!

Toddler & Kids

 

 

Join Paulette as she moves you and your little one through a fun, age-appropriate yoga class.  Story time is always included, and various games will be played to ensure non-stop fun for the tiny yogis!

Paulette will be offering a class for school-aged kids following each toddler class!
